Created Action

I always just try to factor in the whole situation before I form a strong opinion one way or the other. I mean what’s wrong for me could work for you, or the opposite. I just always try to be understanding of a person’s place before I assess their behavior as right or wrong. I mean right and wrong are just such antiquated terms! I like to think that as a society we have transcended such rhetoric.

There is action as such. A conscious being may come into contact with a natural action, say an earthquake or a created action, that which another conscious being has emitted. The way we as experiencers of those natural and created actions choose to define them is really just a self definition. It says nothing of the action in question. All action exists both apart and morally neutral. It is only in our personal interpretation and experience of the action that is has any status as something we might consider to be one way or another.

Like when Bethany decided to breach our romantic contract by sleeping with Weston last month. It wasn’t wrong! And I should think myself more evolved than to just go around shouting ‘Oh! Bethany! You were to wrong to breach that contract!’ I mean, I’m not a caveman! She is her own life force, and the energies that draw her change and grow and fluctuate!

A part of me is proud of her for following her own path and her own personal motivators even though she hadn’t officially ended our contract. I mean in hindsight it was just so misogynistic of me to limit her in that way. ‘Oh! Bethany! I love and respect you! So as a man I’m going to show you that by telling you you can only love me!’ I mean what is that? It’s just so backwards! She and I met at Princeton while I was writing my Thesis on “Ambiguous Thought” and here I was, three years later, telling her that our personal satisfaction could only be actualized by participation in yet another social construct!

I was just being so obtuse. No wonder she slept with Weston. He’s just so, so open! I’ve never heard him like or dislike anything. It’s almost like he himself is a neutral action and he allows himself to only exist within the context of other people’s personal interpretation of him. What a guy!

And I do wish her the best. Good for her, you know? Ha! I remember when we first met. Her eyes. They were just so, so curious. I just couldn’t look away. And now our contract is ended. Good for her.
