A Long Life

Health. The key is health. You can live your whole life sitting around and society won’t bat an eyelash. People are obese and smoke and waste away! A wife and 4 kids. That’s what they spend their time on. Ha! Ha! Oh yes! And see where that gets them. In the ground by 65 is where it gets them!

Look at me. How old would you peg me for? Eh? How old. Just guess! 53! Now can you believe it?

Now the body of knowledge I have acquired, nutritionally speaking, is far and above my peers. And to speak frankly, it's’ been above my peers for years and years. Now take this dissertation I read when I was 17! 17 I’m saying! It was by this man, Jensen Meyers. He won not one but two nobel peace prizes by 1951, and there I was, at 17, reading about him! He was an advocate for health decades before the rest.

Now I’m saying my peers would spend their days drinking and carrying on and smoking I’ll say a pack a day. Some of my peers were having 4, sometimes 5 children. I did know one, Frank Muler. Now he had 8 children, but I will say he was more of an acquaintance.

So these peers of mine, peers I’m saying, spent their 30s, 40s just sitting around watching soccer games, ballet recitals and the rest of it. No real time for cardio. And that’s what you need for cardio. Real time.

So what do you think I was doing while they were dilly-dallying at this family party or that book club? What do you think? Cardio is what! ten miles a morning! My vitamin regime was superb. No processed foods, no preservatives, and no refined sugars.

I did take a wife, say three years, in my mid twenties. But what do you think she wanted! Children! She nodded and oood and aaahed, like they all would when I would explain my theories. Oh she promised that she wasn’t like Molly Higgins or Tess Gerber who talked day and night of this or that baby name for their flawless hypothetical children. But what do you think! Two years in she was whining and whining. ‘Oh just one or two Louie! Just one or two!’ But I know from observation and study that a child will not only deteriorate the health of the mother, but of the father by association.

The divorce was settled by the year’s end, and what do you think? She was one of the peers with the five children! Oh and the toll it took on her figure! But I shouldn’t say. And now she’s dead. Some complication. But who could be surprised?

Now my father lived to be eighty and he didn’t know half of the nutritional benefits I have studied and implemented these past thirty years. Now I am sure, quite sure mind you, that I will surpass him by a decade or maybe even fifteen years. And I don’t plan on wasting a minute of it!
